About the Apparatus

The Cadillac, Chair and Barrels are an integral part of the Pilates system and the foundations of Joe’s original repertoire. He designed them to be a complementary system, including the Reformer and Mat, to allow the body to experience the full extent of his method..

Each apparatus has unique attributes and purposes, some also featuring the signature Pilates spring system. In today’s studios, these machines are commonly utilised for private training but are now also growing into a sought after group class equipment. Teaching across the apparatus has incredible broad application, from injury and rehabilitation through to advanced athletes.

Qualification on the apparatus will allow you to teach both privately and in small groups. It can also be seamlessly taught alongside the Reformer and mat, helping you and your client better achieve Pilates goals - improving their overall strength and mobility.
